Scope of the job
We are looking for a Communications Officer who can promote our brand, interact with the public and establish productive relationships with key stakeholders and policymakers. You will be passionate about developing and implementing plans to engage target audiences and spread the message about our cause. The candidate must have a proven track record of success in the sales and marketing sector or related fields, as well as previous experience in building/boosting the social media presence for an organisation.
Develop and execute an effective marketing strategy to expand our reach and impact on social media (including via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube)
Develop, support and promote the organisation; including social media content creation, media outreach, style guide development, digital marketing, website design and maintenance, and monthly newsletters for key stakeholders
Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase our visibility among stakeholders and lawmakers
Identify, build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, media agencies, influencers and audiences that will help advance our work
Develop an engaging podcast series to connect with our young people
Work with both the Events and Media manager and the Grants and Partnerships Manager to facilitate and promote events, align project delivery and strengthen activities
Create marketing data reports and analytics outlining outreach and data trends
Attend community functions to network and identify potential opportunities
£25,000 to £30,000. Salary will be dependent on experience.
