MLMS announces Swarzy Macaly as Trustee



My Life My Say has today announced that Kiss FM radio presenter, Swarzy Macaly, will be joining the charity on the Board of Trustees.


Swarzy Macaly is well-known for hosting My Life My Say’s Quarantine Question Time series, which began during the Covid-19 pandemic. She has hosted a range of conversations with special guests such as Sir Keir Starmer, Reverend Al Sharpton, as well as Former White House Chief of Staff and Counselor to President Obama, John Podesta.

She is also the founder of Too Much Source, an annual exhibition with live events dedicated to celebrating Black British creatives who are making history today. Furthermore, Swarzy has been recognised for her charisma, passion for social justice, and work with My Life My Say which led her to being nominated to be part of the Duke and Duchess’ list of Black History Month Next Generation Trailblazers 2020.

As My Life My Say’s Trustee, Swarzy will be working closely with the charity’s chair, Andrew Roughan, and will also be working closely with the rest of the Board of Trustees. She will support the charity and the Chief Executive to maximise the charity’s potential and ensure its success. Swarzy will continue to act as an ambassador for My Life My Say.

My Life My Say is a non-partisan political charity that is renowned for creating spaces for dialogue across communities and generations through its signature Democracy Cafés and Quarantine Question Times, which have successfully engaged thousands of young people across the globe.
